Tasting Notes

Appearance

Brilliant pale gold with hints of copper, reflecting the wine's skin contact and careful winemaking that builds texture and complexity.

Aroma

Pear and ripe citrus with red apple, lifted by sweet florals and a touch of lime. The aromatic profile showcases the variety's classic expression with inviting fruit purity and floral elegance.

Palate

Fresh apple and pear joined by nectarine and persimmon. Creamy textured and spicy with lingering warmth. The wine demonstrates excellent balance between fruit richness and refreshing acidity, with 48 hours of lees stirring building luxurious mouthfeel and depth. A small portion of barrel fermentation adds subtle complexity whilst maintaining the wine's vibrant fruit character.

Pairs With

This versatile Marlborough Pinot Gris works beautifully with snapper fillets rolled in fresh breadcrumbs and shallow fried, hot baked ham and glazed kumara, roasted pork, creamy pasta dishes, Asian cuisine, and soft cheeses, making it perfect for both casual dining and special occasions.

After 15 hours of skin contact prior to pressing and four months on lees post-fermentation, this wine offers remarkable texture and focus from one of New Zealand's most respected wine producers.

It's pretty nice
Format: Paperback
I don't usually read saphic stories to my preference of mlm ones but this one wasn't bad. Ended on sort of a cliff hanger I suppose given it's only volume 1. The plot revolves around the lead and her mother and sets the tone for her daily life while slowly building her relationship with the green haired one until finishing the book off with them becoming friends and confiding in eachother.
