They do this by first equipping the 9000CDT with a high-precision optical system, and then adding buffers to eliminate skips and disc-read failures, such as an electronic data buffer and read-ahead digital buffer.

Pristine Audio
Unlike a CD player, audio is untouched and sent to your external DAC or amplifier for playback, and with the 9000CDT, that signal is made to be as clean as possible. The coaxial output is fed from a different line driver, and the master clock is controlled by a high-accuracy crystal oscillator. This enables digital output from both the coaxial and optical outputs to exhibit excessively low levels of jitter (digital distortion).
To further eliminate damage to the audio signal through resonance, the 9000CDT's transport is electromagnetically shielded and separately mounted with a dedicated power supply, the loading tray is low-friction, and the base and chassis are constructed from sturdy aluminum.
