Every Country's Sun takes two decades of Mogwai's signature, contrasting sounds - towering intensity, pastoral introspection, synth-rock minimalism, DNA-detonating volume - and distills it, beautifully, into 56 concise minutes of gracious elegance, hymnal trance-rock, and transcendental euphoria. Produced by psych-rock luminary Dave Fridmann, it's a structural soundscape built from stark foundations up; from a gentle, twinkling, synth-rock spectre to a solid, blown-out, skyward-thrusting obelisk. There's percussive, dream-state electronics ("Coolverine"), church organs as chariots of existential fire ("Brain Sweeties"), tremulous, foreboding bleeping - possibly from a dying android ("aka 47"). Their most transportive album yet, it also hosts their most fully realized art-pop sing-along of their storied history, "Party In The Dark," a head-spinning disco-dream double-helix echoing New Order and The Flaming Lips, featuring Braithwaite's seldom-heard melodic vocals declaring he's "directionless and innocent, searching for another piece of mind". This is music as a keep-out chrysalis, protective audio armor through exalting organs and portentous, dissonant guitar fuzz warping at the edges, bending the world inside-out into a reality in which you'd much rather live. The last three songs ascend into explosive exorcism, closing with the colossal "Every Country's Sun," it's searching intensity whooshing towards infinity in a dazzling cosmic crescendo.

An immature take on Peter Parker only suitable for the most immature reader
Format: Kindle
Someday, Marvel Comics won't be controlled by white male Boomers/GenXers who make Peter Pan look well adjusted and who incessantly try to recapture a childhood that never actually existed while believing women have cooties and adult relationships are icky. But until then, we get Amazing Spider-Man by Joe Kelly, whose writing is the living embodiment of the Steve Buscemi "How do you do, my fellow kids" meme.
This run is boring, trite and cliched. You could probably get a more insightful and original story by asking ChatGPT to write one for you. The only thing going for the run - so far - is that Kelly at least isn't outright aggressively antagonizing the reader unlike the previous writer. It's just...bland and mediocre.

Fantasy
Format: Kindle
It was basically two stories in one book. One was about Logan's encounter with Flower Cartel. He was sent on a mission to find out who was or were stealing Kratoan flowers. He didn't catch whodunit. But I am sure that he will find out some more about Flower Cartel later on ...
Two was about vampires up to no good when it concerned mutants. When Omega Red came in on the island looking badly injured, it was reported to Logan. He thought that Omega Red was up to something and decided to investigate. He found vampires and their "master" but he still didn't know what they were up to. However, he did have some idea what Omega Red did. It ended with him not knowing of a bargain Omega Red made with the master. I am sure that Logan will find out what they are planning for him and his friends later on ...

Wolverines and Holy Knights
Format: Kindle
Fun and great artwork. It has been awhile though so the X-Men timeline confuses me. Anyways I'm a Wolverine fanboy so I liked it.
